The famous Spanish professional spraypaint, in artist colors, is finally available for purchase online (continental USA only). You must be at least 18 years old and buy a minumum of 6 cans at a time (they don't have to be all one color though).

10 years later

I know I keep mentioning it, but it's because I can't believe it myself ... Art Crimes will be 10 years old Sept. 4, 2004. But the rumor that this is the first art site on the net is not so. Art Crimes was the first graffiti site on the Web though.

We wish Art.Net a happy birthday too. Their 10-year anniversary was in June this year.

Also Sito.org is still going strong, since January 1993. Its "Synergy" events allow artists make visual art together online.

These are the big, collaborative art sites, among the very first on the Web, that allowed artists to post their own work. SITO (then OTIS), was a big inspiration for me when I began to think about how graffiti could also live on the Web. Check them out. If they weren't great, they wouldn't be around still.

Word just in: despite the unprecedented advance intimidation of protestors and the attempts to marginalize and hide the protests, hundreds of thousands of people marched against Bush in NYC today on the eve of the Republican National Convention, where Resident Bush will try to put a happy face on his sorry record.

Maybe there's hope the Americans will take their country back in November elections.

Kiser was an exuberant 22-year-old who burned bright for graffiti. It is tragic that he was killed by one of the trains that he loved so much.
