Viljakkala is an idyllic municipality situated only half an hours ride away from Tampere to the north-west. So close to the hustle and bustle of the city, and yet in the middle of the beautiful, clean nature -- that's Viljakkala. Viljakkala has a long and fascinating history; The drinking horn presented on the coat of arms of Viljakkala was a present from the King of Sweden around thousand years ago. The impressive ox horn, 53 cm in lenght, has been kept safe for the succeeding generations.
