* quil * for the Sinclair QL * .hpr'96 * QUIL is a german QUILL version modified to run with ANY QDOS from JM on, and with SMSQ, with or without the P.E. (where it gets its own "outline"d main window). It is configurable with respect to the helpfiles device, the device where printer_dat will be found, the default device for text and temporary storage, and the amount of memory space it may take. The configured sub-version can be saved for later use. The code was also modified to drawing the menue lines "correctly", to appearing where those lines belong to, even in the systems with extended screen sizes. QUIL has the proper job header and an active cursor, thus it works as a multitasking job is expected to, also enabling the job "quil" to be picked by the Hotkey-/P.E.-commands. Multiple copies are supported by storing the temporary data to different files. And, QUIL in many occurrences is much faster than the original code. Some errors have been fixed, e.g. QUILL getting locked when scrolling up by single lines, as opposed to SHIFT/cursor Up, where this error does not occur. - While the problem with very long files merged into an existing text and while external storage in use or becoming necessary, crashing the system, was NOT solved completely. EX "QUILM";"?" can be used to display a short helptext about the parameters. » .hpr'96 » eof »
