The Linux Extended Ring Daemon. It matches "sequences" of a phonerings/timedelay confguration with rings and time delays coming from a modem. A fully matched sequence will execute a specified command. Thus, commands can be run while your modem stays on-hook. Does not affect getty's or other progs using the same port.
