Subject: [*] Modified IAD

I have modified the Apple Internet Address Detectors and created the MIAD
detector/action set. All of Apple's original functionality has been preserved.
Modifications include:

* added detection of "www.site.dom" format URLs
* cleaned up detection code for readability
* added a list of all top-level domains (as of 6/99)
  for addition to site detections

MIAD is also available at the Apple Data Detector Depot, a site specializing in
the development and distribution of data detectors.

Subject: [*] PsychOffice/PsychScheduler version 2.1

An Appointment Book, Patient Management, and Accounting solution for the
Mental Health and Medical community.

Welcome! PsychScheduler was created to help manage a 10 - 20 person
satellite psychological practice which includes clinical psychologists,
psychiatrists, and support staff. Although professional Medical
Management software was used for billing and practice management in the
main office, satellite locations found the cost for additional site
licenses prohibitive. The satellite offices found themselves needing a
way to manage appointment scheduling and patient management locally, and
still be able to send information to the billing system in the home
office. Thus, PsychScheduler was born.

Starting with version 2.0, PsychScheduler was expanded into
"PsychOffice", a highly integrated Office Management program. In
addition to the existing Scheduling and Database features of
PsychScheduler, the PsychOffice program includes a new and improved user
interface, office messaging, simple billing, and provider/client
accounting reports.

Requirements: Mac or PC (Win95 long filenames used), FileMaker Pro 3.0
or higher

Both Windows and Macintosh versions are available.

Sherlock nobanners 2.0- French
2/20/00

This is a simple ResCompare patch that removes all banners from the French
version of Sherlock 2 (actually version 3.0.1, included with Mac OS 9). The
patch will only work with Sherlock 2. To remove banners from earlier
versions, download Sherlock nobanners 1.0.

Most banner programs simply alter the search plugins in your system folder;
this one modifies three resources in the Sherlock 2 application itself,
displaying only gray space instead of some idiotic banner. If you would
rather make the modifications yourself, my web site has the instructions:

Subject: [*] The Atomic Mac 3.7.0

The Atomic Mac is a periodic table of the elements for the Macintosh. In
addition to the usual information found in such programs, The Atomic Mac
also contains a wealth of nuclear information on each isotope, including
half life, decay mode, and daughter products. X-ray data (fluorescence and
binding energies) is also available. A molecular weight calculator makes it
easy to find the molecular weight of compounds. A shaded diagram showing
the ranges of physical properties makes it easy to visualize relationships
across the periodic table.

Data is displayed for the following physical properties:
Density
Heat of Vaporization
Heat of Fusion
Specific Heat
Thermal Conductivity
Linear Expansion Coefficient
Melting Point
Boiling Point
Atomic Radius
Covalent Radius
Magnetic Susceptability
Electrical Resistivity
Electron Affinity
Electric Dipole Polarizability
State (gas, liquid, solid)
Photoelectric Work Function
Electronegativity
Crystal Structure

Subject: [*] URL Manager Pro 2.6 (French version)

This is the French version of URL Manager Pro.

New in version 2.6 of the popular bookmark manager for the Mac is
support for the the new iCab Web Browser and support for Apple's
Keychain feature of Mac OS 9. URL Manager is now also Sherlock-aware,
another feature of Mac OS 9.

But undoubtedly the most important improvement in version 2.6 has
been has been a complete overhaul of the URL Manager Pro
documentation. The new reference material, which is available online
in Adobe Acrobat format, includes a tutorial, a brief introduction to
URLs, and a complete reference section.

"The documentation was completely rewritten from scratch," says Alco
Blom, designer and developer of the program. "Our target audience was
two-fold: we wanted to make the program as easy as possible to use for
users new to the Apple and to the Internet, the iMac public. With them
in mind, we took special care with the tutorial. And to help our power
users get the absolute maximum from the program, we compiled an
exhaustive reference to all of URL Manager Pro's countless options."

URL Manager Pro, the professional bookmark manager for the Macintosh
for use with Netscape Navigator/Communicator, Microsoft Internet
Explorer and iCab, gives users a more convenient way to manage
bookmarks, E-Mail addresses and Newsgroups.

URL Manager Pro 2.6 is Mac OS 8.6 and Mac OS 9 savvy. It features
support for the Keychain of Mac OS 9 and fully supports the new iCab
Web Browser. URL Manager Pro can now track the History for multiple
browsers concurrently. URL Manager Pro is available in English,
Japanese, German, French, Italian, Swedish and Spanish.

URL Manager Pro has garnered many glowing accolades in the
Macintosh press, including TidBits and MacWorld.

"URL Manager is fast, slick, and easy." says Adam C. Engst, Tidbits.

"Un des meilleurs utilitaires d'adresses sur le Net" says UniversMac.

URL Manager Pro is a Kagi Top 10 shareware product.

URL Manager Pro is $30 shareware.

Subject: large drive on a beige g3/233

I replaced a 4 gb drive with a 37 gb drive in one of our beige
g3/300's. The amount of space on it shows correctly on the desktop
but when I connect by appletalk or by TCP/IP it shows only 3.99 MB
free. This is usually not a problem but on Friday I wanted to
transfer a 6GB file from a remote mac and got an error saying there
was not enough room. If I transferred it from the mac with the large
drive though there was no problem.

Is this something that Apple knows about and will be fixed in the future?
