DESCRIPTION ACE/gr is a data/function plotting tool for workstations or X-terminals using X. A few of its features are: + Polynomial regression, splines, running averages, DFT/FFT, cross/auto-correlation. + Plots up to 10 graphs with 30 datasets per graph. + User-defined scaling, tick marks, labels, symbols, line styles, colors. + Batch mode for unattended plotting. + Read and write parameters used during a session. + Support through device independent graphic drivers for PostScript, and FrameMaker .mif format. This version requires a 68020+ based machine to run. NEW FEATURES Stefan Hensen has spend a commendable amount of time rooting out all the bugs he could find and it ended up beeing quite a lot.. Most of the versions has fixed inconsistencies in the interface that was mainly caused by the amiga interface code to be from my first port of xmgr and updated when a new unix version of xmgr arrived. And when there are 50k of source code to plow through, the chances of missing something is naturally present.. Improved on the drawing area handling which is apparently much better now. Added a 'set size' option to set a fixed size on the drawing area. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Amigas with 68020+ and MUI 2.0+ preferably with 4mb+ A big Workbench may also be useful. (640x400 is probably a minimum) Pensharing will be used if you have os3.0+ and enough free colors on the workbench. Documentation in html format, depending on your favourite html viewer you can set: setenv GR_HOME apps:xmgr (ie. where you have your xmgr directory) setenv GR_HELPVIEWER apps:voyager/v (the html browser of your choice, it may not work with all browsers though.) This will enable you to start the browser from within xmgr. But why would you want to as you can read it as a standlone document?.. AVAILABILITY ACE/gr is awailable on aminet: ftp://ftp.wustl.edu/pub/aminet/misc/sci/xmgr25e.lha and ftp://ftp.wustl.edu/pub/aminet/misc/sci/xmgr24_docs.lha An X11 version in source form is available on public.x.org and other X11 sites.
