Short: Merlin-Emulation V3.1 Update 10 Author: Hans Raaf (h.raaf@pro-dev.com) Uploader: Hans Raaf (support pro-dev com) Type: driver/video Version: 3.1 Requires: ProBench3-9.lha, OS3.0+, Merlin display board Architecture: m68k-amigaos This archive contains an update for regular users of ProBench3. Update 10 is just a 'small fix' to known problems. The first fix addresses the serial.device errors problem. which occured after installing update 9. This is solved by a new ShapeShifter sensitive mode for the hardware-blitter. Another fix is for the users who want to use the Picasso-96 picture datatype (which is not restricted for Merlin users). This was necessary, because Ralph Schmidt and Matthias Scheler have put some code into their software which destroys the functionality of ProBench in 16 bit modes, even if you don't use the 'picture.datatype V43 Copyright 1995-97 Ralph Schmidt'. The latest documentation says: 'Usage of any of the included sub datatype classes with picture.datatype v43 clones needs permission from their respective authors.' ------ So ASK Matthias Scheler for the usage of his sub-datatypes together with the Picasso96 picture.datatype! Maybe he also -------------------------- tells you how many code we have stolen... We are so stupid :( Because their 'viri' like code (listing inside the archive) affects only our product we have build a workarround to stop bugreports regarding this problem! You should now be able to use the free version of picture.datatype without getting the impression that our software contains strange bugs. Don't forget to ask the 'respective authors'!
