The 6 900 acre Bangala Recreational Park, based on Bangala Dam, is 24.8 miles east of Ngundu Halt, with access from the main Ngundu-Chiredzi road. It has not been developed but represents a potential recreation centre for lowveld residents, particularly as a venue for watersports. On the high ground surrounding the dam are some good areas of Brachystegia woodland.
The Park is open throughout the year. It was declared a Recreational Park under the Parks and Wild Life Act (1975).
