Detroit, known as the "Automobile Capital of the World" is at the heart of the North American continent and is the gateway to the Canadian market. Detroit has excellent global, national, and regional accessibility including two major airports, Detroit Metropolitan International and Willow Run, which receive over 3,400 nonstop flights from roughly 80 cities weekly and handle over 200,000 tons of air freight annually. The Detroit area is an established focal point of the North American freight rail transportation network. The Port of Detroit has access to three major international shipping routes. We have embarked on developing the world's most comprehensive Trade Point program that far exceeds the requirements of UNCTAD. This, in our view, will be widely adapted throughout the world as the most economical, practical and effective tool for trade facilitation and much more.
The first phase of the planned facility will house both the World Trade Center Detroit/Windsor and the Trade Point. This is a first- class International Trade Mart with more than two million square feet of space, including a five story office building, a display and exhibition area, an international cultural center and more. The effective location will be directly between Detroit Metropolitan International Airport, and Willow Run Airport which is the largest all-cargo airport in the nation. This is also located 20 minutes from Windsor (Canada).
