My show includes singing and playing the organ in Israely famous songs and music for dancing,
including a D.J.service.I work with private people as well as organized firms, banks, insurance companies and govermental offices.(see:A list of satisfied clients.)
My name is Hagit Kalish.I was born in 1965 in Israel, in a small village called:Bustan-Hagalil, in the north of the country. I was taking piano lessons since I was 6 years old.I played mostly Cllasical music, but in a very short time I've found out by my self how to play and accompany by hearing and started to play for my pleasure familliar songs and tunes with out looking at written notes. As a resoult of that , at the age of 13 I bought a guitar and learned to play it all by my self.
At the age of 18, I joined the armi, like everyone else, for 2 years in wich I didn't have much chance to "deal" with music, accept for singing and playing the guitar with the soldiers in the free evenings.
After releasing from the military service I needed some mony, so I started to play the electric keyboard
in a restaurant in Aco. After a while, this place became a member club, hosting famous Israeli singers and musicians, and I was asked to open the show in Israeli folk songs before the main singer will go on stage. At first I was a little shy, but when I started to get a good feedback from the audience, the fears gradually decreased and I got more expirience and self-confidence from day to day.From that point things started to roll by them selves.I was invited to perform in private parties, weddings, bar-mitzvas and pubs.At the same time, in 1986, I went to study Jazz and contemporary music in a private
school called:RIMON .There I learned Composition, Harmony, Arrangment, Orchestration and more...
I was exposed to the Jazz music; I learned to iprovise on the piano and my musical hearing got better.
Going to RIMON school I had to move in Tel-Aviv, the main city, and there I started to get the real expirience of both life and show-business.
I started to sing in a famous club called: HA'SLIK, in there I was singing with the audience only Israely
songs.I was singing there for 2-3 years, and at the same time I started to sing in another famous pub called: HA'BIKTA. Until these days I'm still singing there, for 8 years allready.
Well, this is my short history, and I hope it was interesting.
After 9 years of performing I am quite famous and known in the level of private parties like: Weddings,
Bar-Mitzva ,Brith-Mila etc. And in clubs and pubs of Israeli songs.
