NATIONAL EXPORT POLICY

  1. To improve progressively the climate for exports in Botswana.

  2. To induce the expansion of production of export related productsand professional services.

  3. To provide specialized export services to existing and potential exporters.

  4. Identify through continuous research of the local export supply, the existing and potential exporters and facilitate them through integrated package of services.

  5. Carry out studies in export development and make recommendations to the government in appropriate policies needed to create a climate conducive to the development of exports.

  6. Assist existing and potential exporters to penetrate overseas markets and develop their exports to these markets through a series of programmes (Buyer/sellers meets, Trade delegations, foreign trade fairs etc.).

  7. Export market research, market surveys, test marketing activities, making cunter samples available to local companies etc. are carried out in collaboration with our commercial attaches offices and foreign trade promotion organizations.

  8. Product management assistance inorder to adapt the products of existing and potential exporters to the requirements of foreign markets.

  9. Export marketing training (through interactive workshops ) and Advisory services to needy and potential exporters.
