II. Leading Trade Prospects for U.S. Business In the last half decade U.S. exports to Swaziland have been between 3 million and 8 million dollars per year, while U.S. imports from Swaziland have hovered around 30 million dollars per year. The U.S. share of the Swazi import market has been between .5% and 1.4% of all Swazi imports. The U.S. share of Swazi exports has been between 4% and 6% of all Swazi exports. There are no indications that these small amounts will increase in the foreseeable future. The smallness of the Swazi market, its close links with South Africa and the distance from the United States would seem to warrant marketing efforts to increase trade with Swaziland as part of the Southern Africa region generally.
