II. Leading trade prospects for U.S. business We believe there are strong growth prospects for sales of U.S.-origin goods and services in the following sectors: -- Aircraft, parts, air traffic control equipment and civil aviation goods and services, including navigational equipment, aircraft leasing, and a variety of maintenance services; -- Energy, including oil & gas exploration and development, refining equipment and services; -- Power, including private electric power plant construction and operation; -- Telecommunications equipment and services, including wireless networks, radio paging, cellular telephones, basic telephone service, and both central office and customer premises switches and instruments; -- Consumer goods investments and future reduction in the barriers to consumer goods imports; -- Banking, insurance, and brokerage firms see new opportunities as India reforms these sectors of its economy.
