Once downloaded the e-SoftEasy Business Analytics package you should unzip it in the root folder of your Windows C drive. After having unzipped the package you will find the following Information/Software:

• Java JDK 1.5.0_14 - JDK package needed for the standard JSP/Servlet Web Application Server (TomCat) to run. The package is located in C:\eSoftEasy_PRD_2.0_TRPACK\jdk1.5.0_14 folder.
  
  

• TomCat Version 4.1.31 - JSP and Servlets Web Application Server containing the e-SoftEasy Business Analytics package and the Training Database. This software is located in C:\eSoftEasy_PRD_2.0_TRPACK\tomcat-4.1.31 folder and the e-SoftEasy Business Analytics package in C:\eSoftEasy_PRD_2.0_TRPACK\tomcat-4.1.31\webapps\esf folder.
  
  

PACKAGE CONFIGURATION

The Package contains two MS Access databases and one MS Excel file that contains many samples of Reports, Charts and Dashboards.

In order to run a MS Access Database and a MS Excel file, same as for any other Database a driver will be needed, in this case the standard MS Access ODBC driver is needed as well as the standard MS Excel ODBC driver (included in the MS Office package).

PACKAGE INITIATION

In order to run the Web Application Server and therefore the e-SoftEasy Business Analytics software you should follow next steps:

• Run C:\eSoftEasy_PRD_2.0_TRPACK\ini.bat file.
  
  

• Open MS Internet Explorer and access the URL: http://localhost:8080/esf/
  
  

• The e-SoftEasy Business Analytics Login page is shown, type any of the User/Password provided below and if the ODBC drivers are configured correctly you will be able to login successfully. Default Users:
  
  

  • Administrator Rights - User: admin, Password: admin
  • Editor Rights - User: Smith, Password: Smith
  • Viewer Rights - User: Johnson, Password: Johnson
