'Round'n'Round is a non-violent game suitable for the entire family.
In it, you try to form loops out of various loop segments. When you
succeed in making a complete loop, the pieces disappear to make room
for new segments. During the game, you can encounter various bonus
pieces that will either help you or add new challenges.

The game is incredibly addictive. It has big, bright and beautiful
graphics, full stereo music and sound effects, several levels of
difficulty, illustrated instructions, an extensive top score list,
statistics and TONS of surprises and hidden stuff (even entire
games) to hold your interest for a very long time.

'Round'n'Round is shareware. The game you will be downloading is the
complete game, though, with no limitations in either time or
functionality. I do not believe in crippleware.

To run 'Round'n'Round you need a Macintosh with system 7.0 or later
and a screen with a display size that is at least 640x480 pixels,
preferably capable of showing 256 colors. You will also need about
4 MB of free RAM. The game has been tested, and runs excellently, on
a great variety of computers ranging from a Power Macintosh 9600
down to a Macintosh IIcx. On older computers it might be a bit slow,
but it will be fully playable.

Subject: [*] CalConvert 2.3J FAT (Japanese version)

CalConvert 2.3J is the Japanese version of Alessandro Levi Montalcini's
original.

* CalConvert is a small shareware utility that does integer arithmetic
calculations and converts integer values to different bases (decimal,
hexadecimal, binary, octal or any custom base between 2 and 32) or
to an OSType (a sequence of four ASCII characters). A bit field
representation is available to inspect and set each bit separately. The
conversion may be signed or unsigned - you can always enter a signed
value, it gets converted to unsigned if needed; the result may be
interpreted either as a word (2 bytes) or as a long word (4 bytes).

This is $10 shareware. Have fun and support Alex.

The Japanese versions of Alessandro's programs are available at:

Subject: [*] EjectDisk 2.1.1 - A (very handy) disk utility

EjectDisk is an extremely useful control panel - once you start using it
you will wonder how you ever lived without it! By pressing a key
combination (which you can easily change from within the control panel) you
can eject floppy disks, Zip/SyQuest/Jaz disks or CD-ROM disks quickly,
easily and without any hassle. No more having to drag disks to the trash to
eject them!

EjectDisk is different from using Command-Y within the Finder in two ways -
you can be in any program (not just the Finder) when you eject the disk,
and you don't have to select the disk first. Both reasons make using
EjectDisk much quicker and easier than ejecting disks the old way.

Cheers,
Jason

Subject: [*] Focus Comatose v4.3- Disk and monitor energy untility

Comatose will help you prolong the life of your computer and save on
electricity while doing so!! It allows you to put your computer to
sleep rather than shut down the entire system. It works with all
Macintoshes Plus and later running system 7 or later and only 165K
of memory. Comatose spins down all hard drives on all SCSI buses and
dim the screen to black. The screen blacking allows some monitors to
also power down, adding to electricity savings. Your computer will
run quieter when comatosed and takes a fraction of time to start up
when compared to switching off or shut down. Comatose also has
screen saver capability. You can specify how many minutes before
the screen dims and how many idle minutes before drives spin down.
Your computer will be able to wake up with an incoming phone call,
receive a fax and go back to sleep. Perfect for using that old Mac
sitting in the closet as a stand alone fax!.

Key features:
- Auto Spin down/Screen Off
- Screen Saver & Energy Star Support
- Password protection
- Digital Clock sreen saver (bouncing!)
- Full async. sound playback of sound files of any size!!
- Sound recording capability (using your built-in Mac microphone)

Minimum system configuration of:
 * Hardware: Any Macintosh or Power Macintosh (Plus and later).

Subject: [*] MacMolecule 2 Lite 68K FPU

This version is for Macintoshes with an FPU. If your Macintosh does have
an FPU (many do), this version will run faster than the 68K version.

What's MacMolecule 2 Lite?

MacMolecule 2 Lite is a freeware successor to our MacMolecule 1.0,
MacMolecule 1.5, and MacMolecule 1.7 programs. MacMolecule Lite reads a
molecule specification file and displays it on your computer screen. With
MacMolecule Lite's fast rendering engine you can open molecules with
thousands of atoms and rotate them in real-time with the mouse. These
large molecules are rendered with excellent quality and speed.

Why "Lite"?

MacMolecule Lite is the scaled down verion of the fully featured
MacMolecule. The full version has a toolbar, functions for erasing and
coloring atoms, the ability to save a view of a molecule with annotated
text, exporting molecules as GIF files for direct inclusion into web pages,
and much much more. For information about purchasing the full version of
MacMolecule, or PCMolecule, please visit <http://www.molvent.com> with your
web browser. This site also contains many molecule files and tutorials, as
well as a manual and a downloadable demo of the full featured version.

Features

1. Space Filling, Ball and Stick, and Wire Frame views of molecules
2. Manual or Automatic rotation with specific axis adjustments
3. Record QuickTime movies of manual or automatic rotations
4. Set light source for molecule
5. Set the stick color for Ball and Stick mode
6. Set the background color for the molecule
7. Open protein data bank (PDB) files

Subject: [*] MicroArchitecture Simulator 1.1; microprogrammed processor

MicroArchitecture Simulator models a microprogrammed processor similar
to the one described in the book "Structured Computer Organization" by
Andrew S. Tanenbaum. Its hardware components and its instruction set are
fixed (not too much, as you will see) but its microprogram is fully
editable in a user friendly manner. The processor can access a 128K
Random Access Memory borrowed from your Mac; you can easily view,
modify, load or save this portion of memory. You can run programs and
debug them with a step by step execution. Namely, you can advance by a
conventional instruction, by a microinstruction, and even by a clock
subcycle observing the internal parts of the processor.

Full C source code included.
This software is PowerPC native (FAT).

It **requires** System 7 or later.
Remember to take a look at the balloons.

MiniRegister 1.0
Copyright (C) 1997 By Alex Rampell

MiniRegister is a simple, registration program designed for the shareware
author or anybody who frequently receives money for some kind of software
solution. Instead of asking the user to fill out some SimpleText form, or to
compose a message by hand in messy handwriting, many programmers simply find
it easier to include some sort of Registration application with their
programs. That way, the user will enter all the necessary information, and
the programmer will find it easier to take care of the registration.
MiniRegister also gives shareware programs more of a professional look.
Most importantly, it makes it easier for the user to part with his/her
shareware fee, as it is quicker and easier than any other method.
MiniRegister is an easy to use Registration program, and is extremely small,
affordable, and easy to customize.

Subject: [*] Nisus Indexing Macros 1.1

Nisus Indexing Macros 1.1

(This version is an update to my Indexing Macros 1.0 for Nisus Writer,
posted to info-mac in May 1997. This update fixes a bug in 1.0 in which an
extra space was inserted in index entries generated with the "Personal
Name, 2 Last" and "Personal Name, 3 Last" macros. Adds an "Unmark Selected
Text" macro).

Nisus Writer is a superb word processor with powerful capabilities, but...

I have been bothered by the way that Nisus Writer generates indexes. It
lists every single page on which a marked item occurs. This leads to the
creation of indexes with entries such as:

Dogs...1,2,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,30,31,32,100,101,102

I have written a macro to collapse such entries according to the method
prescribed by the 13th edition of the Chicago Manual of Style, section
8.67. For example, the entry above would be rendered:

Dogs...1-2,7-15,30-32,100-102

(The full method is actually more complex than this, and I have fully
implemented it).

Along with that macro, I've developed some others to facilitate creating
indexes. Perhaps the most useful ones are for marking proper names for
indexing. If, for example, you have the names "Alfred E. Neuman," "Billy
Bob Smith," and "Wild Bill Hickock," simply select all these names and run
a macro to mark each for the index as follows:

Neuman, Alfred E.
Smith, Billy Bob
Hickock, Wild Bill

When you've downloaded the macro, double-click on the macro file to load
it, then run the "About Indexing Macros" macro for further details on what
these macros do and how to use them.

volume on the fly, with a single key or mouse click, even, for example, while
playing a game. Really easy.
There are a great deal of sound utilities out there, but SetSoundVolume is
possibly the easiest, simplest and yet most powerful one out there. With
SetSoundVolume, you can even change the sound level with the Function Keys
(F1-F8), with just a single keystroke. Macworld even included SetSoundVolume
with its May 1996 issue.

Subject: [*] Welcome to Macintosh 1.2.1

Welcome to Macintosh is a simple little application that will play a
cool sound while displaying a dialog. For coolest performance, it should
be placed in the StartUp Items folder in your MacOS folder. It'll drive
those PeeCee users nuts!

Welcome to Macintosh is of course freeware. If you have any questions,
comments or bugs, please report them to either <yls@kagi.com> or
<stoedle@online.no>.

=46or updates, other products from Yellow Lemon Software and more, check
out the YLS web site, located at
<http://home.sol.no/stoedle/YLS/YLS.html>.

New in this version of Welcome to Macintosh is a slight alteration of
the sound. It has also been rewritten in C++ and the sound now plays
asynchronyously. The application is distributed as a fat binary.

The source code for Welcome to Macintosh is available upon request or
from the YLS web site.
