Introduction

What is Galeon?

Galeon is a web browser built around Gecko (Mozilla 's rendering engine) and Necko (Mozilla's networking engine). It's a GNOME web browser, designed to take advantage of as many GNOME technologies as makes sense. Galeon was written to do just one thing - browse the web.

Here's a list of some of Galeon's features:

GNOME integrated

Mozilla powered

Advanced bookmarks features

Configurable

And more!

Because it's part of the GNOME project, Galeon is Free Software. The program and its source code are released under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL), and the documentation falls under the Free Documentation License (FDL). For more information about the GPL and the FDL, visit the Free Software Foundation's website at http://www.fsf.org.

NoteThis is a work in progress

Galeon is currently under heavy development. It relies on Mozilla, which is also undergoing heavy development. It has bugs and lacks some features, but is usable and gets better each day. Please help improve it by reporting any bugs you find or features you would like added. You should do this by submitting reports at Bugzilla or with the GNOME Bug Report Tool (known as bug-buddy at the command line).
