- Here you can find some IPv6 enabled multicast applications :

Windows 2000 Windows XP

-

Microsoft IPv6 Stack for Windows 2000

- To install IPv6 on Windows XP you must type: "ipv6 install". You must also install the Service Pack 1 in order to receive any multicast traffic.

- To install these applications you have to extract the files from these three archives into the same directory (C:\Program Files\Mbone\) and set your windows user environment variable HOMEDIR to this directory.

- In order to launch these applications I suggest that you put all these files into the same directory.

- Your computer's hostname must be resolved by an IPv6 DNS server.

- In Windows 2000 only, you must also add a multicast default route to all multicast addresses on your network interface:

-

"ipv6 if" will give you your interface number X

"ipv6 rtu FF00::/8 X" where X is the interface number will add your default multicast route.

-

- The command line for:

-

vic ---> vic -n ip6 MCAST_ADDR/PORT

rat ---> rat MCAST_ADDR/PORT

sdr ---> (use the sdr icon)

nte ---> nte MCAST_ADDR/PORT
