Using the GNOME Mixer

There are four main components to the GNOME Mixer: the faders, Mute buttons, Rec. buttons, and the Lock buttons. The Lock locks the left and right channels together so that you can adjust either fader and both with be syncronized. The Mute silences the channel, but once you change the volume from the fader the channel is unmuted. The last button, Rec. is toggled to turn on/off the recording functions of your soundcard on that channel. There always has to be one channel with the record button pressed. The faders control the volume of each channel. Below is a listing of what each fader represents.
